The Purpose App
The Purpose App is a free mobile platform designed to empower individuals to find and fulfill their purpose by serving their communities. It is a bridge between those in need and those ready to help, whether with a ride, a home repair, or other acts of service. The app’s design is simple and user-friendly, with a core four-button interface.

How it works

If you're in need - the app will first connect you with local resources.
If those don't meet your needs, you can post a request for help that others in the community can see and respond to.
You can post your request anonymously if you prefer.

-
Current Needs: On this screen, "helpers" can browse a list of needs posted by others.
-
They can search by category, distance, or timeframe to find opportunities that align with their skills and availability.

When the helper(s) accepts the request, it is listed on their profile. When completed it counts toward specific badges and awards they can earn.
How the "On-Call" Feature Would Work
The feature could be a simple, optional status that a user can toggle on and off. When a user puts themselves "on call," their profile would become active for urgent needs. The app's system could then prioritize and display a custom list of requests based on several factors:
Urgent Needs First: The app would first show requests flagged as urgent, such as a last-minute ride or an immediate need for prayer.
Skill-Based Matching: After urgent needs, the list could show requests that match a user's skills and certifications. This would leverage the badge system and profile information, allowing someone with a plumbing badge to see a request for a leaky faucet or a certified professional to be shown relevant needs.
Geographic Proximity: The list could also prioritize needs that are physically close to the user's current location, making it easy to respond quickly.
